Black-leaf Alocasia is a relatively easy-to-grow indoor plant. It requires appropriate soft light, a warm environment, and good ventilation. After the soil in the pot is slightly dry, water it thoroughly and maintain a high air humidity, it will grow well.

1. Soil

The soil for growing black-leaf Alocasia should be loose, breathable, and have strong drainage. In order to increase the fertility of the soil, you can add an appropriate amount of humus, coal slag or river sand.

2. Lighting

When the black-leaf Alocasia is in its growth period, it must be given sufficient light and maintained in semi-shade, otherwise it will be detrimental to its growth. In winter, it must be given full sun.

3. Temperature

Black-leaf Alocasia odora is suitable for growing in a temperature of 20-30 degrees. If the temperature is too low, it must be kept warm, but the Alocasia odora in dormancy can withstand a minimum temperature of 0 degrees.

4. Watering

The black leaf Alocasia should be watered according to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and watering when the soil is wet. When the temperature is relatively low in winter, the frequency of watering should be appropriately reduced. When the temperature is relatively high in summer, the frequency of watering should be increased.

On the morning of the second day after fertilizing, water the plant in order to dilute and wash away the residual fertilizer.
