1. Site selection and land preparation

It is not suitable to be planted in heavy clay soil. After selecting a plot, the soil needs to be deeply plowed, raked flat and fine, and after digging trenches and making ridges, you can prepare for planting.

Perilla leaves are usually planted by sowing. Its seeds are evenly sown in rows in the soil and covered with a thin layer of soil. Water once after sowing to keep the soil slightly moist. It can also be sown in holes with a row spacing of 45 cm and a plant spacing of 25 cm to 30 cm. It will soon germinate and grow.

1. In order to promote the growth of perilla leaves, proper water and fertilizer management should be carried out during the growth period. Before sowing perilla leaves, an appropriate amount of organic fertilizer should be added to the soil to maintain its early nutritional growth. Nitrogen fertilizer should be applied in advance when the nutritional growth and reproductive growth are in parallel.

2. During the growth period, you must pay attention to the water demand of perilla leaves. After sowing, you must water them thoroughly once, and then water them again when the plants are planted. During this period, you must water them appropriately according to the dryness and wetness of the field and the precipitation conditions, and pay attention to drainage.
