Dragon bamboo is a plant of the Poaceae family. It has relatively thick rhizomes, varied and elegant shapes, and extremely high ornamental value. Like lucky bamboo, many people also choose dragon bamboo as their hydroponic plant in their homes. It has strong vitality, is simple and convenient to culture in water, and grows quickly. Key points for cultivating dragon bamboo in water1. Ensure water quality The growth of Dragon Bamboo has relatively high requirements for water quality. The culture water needs to be kept clean at all times. Pure water does not contain impurities and is very suitable for hydroponic Dragon Bamboo. If there are no conditions, tap water can also be used, but it needs to be exposed to the sun for 2-3 days before use. During maintenance, change the water every 5-7 days to prevent the culture water from deteriorating. 2. Adequate nutrients In order to grow dragon bamboo with sufficient nutrients, nutrient solution needs to be applied regularly during maintenance. Generally, it is applied every 10 days or so during the rapid growth period of dragon bamboo. In winter, the growth of dragon bamboo is slow, so nutrient solution can be applied every 20-30 days, using 2-3 drops each time. 3. Temperature Dragon bamboo has poor cold resistance. Water-grown dragon bamboo needs to be moved to a warm room in winter to maintain the surrounding temperature above 15°C. The water-grown container or vase can also be wrapped with cotton cloth to prevent heat from dissipating. Precautions for water-cultured dragon bambooDo not place water-grown Dragon Bamboo near a TV or computer. Electrical appliances generally have radiation. Although it has no effect on the human body, plants are more sensitive and will grow poorly due to radiation. Also, do not place water-grown Dragon Bamboo in front of an air-conditioner outlet or fan, so as not to affect the growth of the plant. |
