How to mix planting soil and how to mix planting soil

Planting soil preparation requirements

Planting soil needs to have good drainage, water and fertilizer retention properties, and be loose and breathable. River sludge, various garbage soils, saline-alkali soils, and soils that are polluted or contain other harmful ingredients cannot be used as planting soil. A qualified planting soil should contain rich humus and water, and should not contain other harmful substances such as clay, sand, stones, etc.

In addition, for plants that grow in acidic or alkaline environments, care should be taken to ensure that the pH value of the soil is within the normal range suitable for plant growth.

How to prepare planting soil

To prepare planting soil, you need to use garden soil, leaf mold, peat soil, manure soil, chaff ash soil, etc. These soils can be found in general vegetable gardens, woodlands and the wild.

If you want fertile soil, you can mix feces, fallen leaves, fruit peels, etc. and ferment them to make organic fertilizer. The above single soils can be mixed in a certain proportion to make planting soil.

Precautions for preparing planting soil

Different soil acidity and alkalinity have different effects on plant growth and development, which may delay the growth of flowers and cause the plants to be unable to absorb nutrients. Most flowers grow well in neutral to slightly acidic soil, that is, soil with a pH value between 5.5 and 7.0. Overly acidic or overly alkaline soil is not conducive to plants absorbing nutrients and organic matter in the soil, and will affect the normal growth and development of flowers.
