Where do willow trees grow?

Willow is suitable for growing in different ecological environments. It can grow in mountains, sand dunes, plains and other areas. It is relatively drought-resistant and has strong salt-alkali resistance. It likes to grow in sunny areas and in humid climates.

The origin of willow trees is in the southern region of my country. Currently, they are planted in most parts of my country, such as Northeast China, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other regions. In addition, they are also cultivated in many foreign regions, such as North Korea, Japan and Russia.

Willow Growing Environment

1. Soil: Willow has a strong adaptability to soil and can generally grow in harsh environments. It likes to grow in moist, well-drained sandy loam, but is not suitable for growing in clay areas because it can easily cause root rot and destroy growth. It can also grow on light saline-alkali land with a salt content of 0.3%.

2. Light: When planting willow trees, they do not have excessive requirements for light, and normal light is sufficient.

3. Temperature: It is suitable for growing in a humid environment. It has strong cold resistance and will not be frostbitten. It can grow at an annual average temperature of 2°C. It likes a cool and humid environment. You can water it more and it can grow better in moist soil.
