Which month is suitable for planting coriander?

Due to the growth habits of coriander, it has two sowing times a year. The first time is usually in May and June in spring, and the second time is around October in autumn. The climate and temperature during this period are more suitable for the growth of coriander, but it must also be adjusted appropriately according to the local climate.

Coriander Planting Methods

1. Seed treatment

When planting coriander, seed treatment is a basic requirement, which is conducive to its faster germination. First, germinate the seeds, generally soak them in warm water for about 1 to 2 days, then put them in sandy soil, seal them with a layer of burlap, and control the temperature at around 25°C.

2. Matrix preparation

The main requirement for the soil for growing coriander is that it has to have good water retention and be able to lock in nutrients. You can choose a mixture of sandy loam and garden soil, and add enough organic fertilizer. This way the soil will facilitate root drainage, preventing coriander from rotting and dying and stopping growth.

Points to note when planting coriander

1. During the growth of coriander, some grass will often grow around the soil. It is best to weed in time before the grass grows vigorously to avoid excessive consumption of nutrients.

2. During the seedling stage, do not water too much at one time, otherwise it will cause some diseases. Wait until the seedlings grow to 10 cm tall and keep the surrounding environment moist.
