Passion fruit planting time and method

Passion fruit planting time

Passion fruit is generally planted in spring or autumn when the temperature is relatively low. It is a tropical fruit and the most suitable growth temperature is 20℃~30℃. If it is below zero degrees, its growth will be greatly affected. It is recommended to be planted in the warm and humid areas in the south.

Passion fruit planting methods and key points

1. Seed treatment : When planting passion fruit, you need to prepare the seeds in advance and soak the selected seeds in warm water for about a day. This can increase the probability of seed germination and is also beneficial for later cultivation.

2. Soil selection : Passion fruit does not have particularly high requirements for soil, but the most suitable soil can improve its fruit quality and yield. We can use rotten leaves, peat soil mixed with garden soil to prepare planting soil, and add an appropriate amount of base fertilizer to the soil. Such soil is very suitable for growing passion fruit.

3. Start sowing : After the preparation work is done, you can plant passion fruit. Sprinkle the seeds on the soil, cover it with a thin layer of soil, spray water on the soil appropriately to keep the soil moist, and then you can cultivate it normally.

Passion fruit planting precautions

1. Adequate sunlight : Adequate sunlight can help passion fruit absorb nutrients and promote its growth better. If there is not enough sunlight, it will cause poor growth, but also be careful not to expose it to direct strong sunlight.

2. Keep warm in winter : Passion fruit is relatively cold-resistant among plants. It is suitable for growing in an environment of 20 degrees. It cannot be lower than 0℃, otherwise the roots will be frozen. Although it is relatively cold-resistant, it still needs to be kept warm every winter and can be moved indoors.
