Lentil planting time

Lentils are generally cultivated in the open field, usually planted in mid-January, but the planting time is different in different regions. In the Yangtze River Basin, it is generally planted from May to July each year, while in North China it is sown in June.

Lentil planting method

1. Site selection and fertilization: When planting lentils, they need to be planted in places with deep soil and good drainage. If the soil fertility is insufficient, some farmyard manure needs to be applied appropriately.

2. Sowing: Lentils need to be germinated before planting, which can increase their germination rate. After sowing, they need to be covered with 1-2 cm thick nutrient soil and a layer of ground film.

3. Seedling care: After lentils emerge, they need a suitable temperature. During the day, the temperature needs to be kept between 20-25 degrees, and at night it needs to be kept at around 15-20 degrees.

Lentil planting precautions

After the lentils germinate, there must be a good ventilation environment and the temperature of the surrounding environment must be lowered to avoid excessive growth. At normal times, the humidity should be kept at around 60%, which is more beneficial for plant growth.
