How long does it take for celery to grow?

Introduction to Celery Growth

Celery is grown in greenhouses in China and can be grown all year round. It is mainly distributed in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Shanxi and other places, and a small amount is distributed in other regions.

Celery growth cycle

Celery prefers a cool, humid climate and can still grow at temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius. The growing period is generally three months. The growth and development of celery includes two stages: vegetative growth and reproductive growth.

Celery growth rate

It takes 36-48 hours for celery seeds to germinate, and the germination time is 5-7 days. About one month after the seedling growth period, the growth rate of celery will drop significantly.

Celery Growth Cycle Management

Celery can produce about 5,000 kilograms per mu. For vegetables like celery, seedling management must improve the permeability of the field and allow the seedlings to receive light for a longer period of time so that they can grow well.

Temperature management: Celery should ensure that the temperature in the greenhouse is around 20-25 degrees during the day and around 10-18 degrees at night. Such a temperature is actually very conducive to their growth.

Fertilization management : Celery has a relatively large demand for fertilizer and water. Before planting, you must apply enough base fertilizer, and topdressing should ensure that urea and potassium sulfate are applied per acre. During the leaf growth period, pay attention to adding sulfuric acid, potassium sulfate, and calcium phosphate.
