What soil is suitable for growing hydrangeas?

Hydrangea soil

Hydrangea likes acidic soil. If it grows in breathable soil containing humus, it will not only grow well but also have beautiful flowers. If it is transplanted, it needs to use breathable soil.

Hydrangeas can be planted in ordinary soil, but it is better to choose nutrient soil because the nutrients in ordinary soil are insufficient, and if fertilizer is not applied regularly, it will affect the growth of hydrangeas.

Hydrangea soil preparation method

1. Nutrient soil

Hydrangeas can be grown with nutrient soil. Generally, the nutrients contained in the nutrient soil are sufficient for hydrangeas to absorb, and it also has a certain degree of air permeability.

2. Vermiculite

Generally, hydrangeas can be planted with vermiculite, but it needs to be mixed with some garden soil in a ratio of 1:1. This can avoid water accumulation at the roots and also promote the growth of hydrangeas.

Changing the soil for hydrangea potting

1. Temperature: Generally, when changing the soil for hydrangeas, you must first choose a suitable time. The surrounding temperature cannot be lower than 10 degrees Celsius, otherwise it will affect the growth of hydrangeas.

2. Planting: When planting, place its roots gently in the new soil, then add some soil on top to cover the roots, and finally water it.
