Is the yield of Kirin fruit high?

Kirin fruit is a golden dragon fruit. The plant has relatively high requirements for the planting environment, so the yield is very low. It usually takes 4-5 years for it to bear fruit. The yield per mu is generally around 2,500-5,000 jin. The fruit-bearing period is from April to November each year.

How to grow Kirin fruit for high yield

1. Planting site selection

Kirin fruit is a fruit native to the tropics and has high requirements for the environment. The planting site is generally chosen in land with sufficient sunlight, abundant water resources and strong permeability. After selecting the planting site, a rack must be set up, and the height of the rack should not be less than 1.4 meters.

2. Preparation before planting

Before planting Qilin fruit, fertilization should be carried out, mainly in holes. About 6 kilograms of farmyard manure should be applied to each hole, and appropriate amounts of trace elements should be added. Then, the fertilizer should be covered with about 10 centimeters of soil.

3. Fertilizer and water management

After planting Qilin fruit, it is best to keep the soil moist and apply fertilizer. When the seedlings grow to 20 cm, use farmyard manure once a month.

4. Prevent diseases and pests

Kirin fruit has strong disease resistance, but you must pay attention to pest control. Spray pesticides at least once a month to prevent pests from harming the Kirin fruit seedlings, and cut off the damaged parts with scissors.
