How to make and use lotus fertilizer

Lotus flower fertilizer

The commonly used fertilizer for lotus is mainly phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer, supplemented by organic fertilizer, and no urea. Base fertilizer should not be applied in the early stage to avoid fertilizer damage.

How to make lotus fertilizer

1. Preparation of probiotic activation liquid. Prepare 20 kg of probiotic activation liquid according to the probiotic stock solution: nutrients: water = 2:2:16. The specific formula is: first use a small amount of hot water to dissolve 2 kg of nutrients, then use cold water to lower the temperature to 30-35℃, pour it into the probiotic stock solution, add appropriate amount of water and stir evenly.
2. To make nitrogen fertilizer. Pick out the remaining leaves of moldy beans, peanuts, melon seeds, castor seeds, bean skins, melon peels, pigeon droppings and expired milk powder, smash and boil them, put them into a small can, fill it with water, seal it, and then sprinkle some pesticides on it to ferment and decompose. In order to make it rot as quickly as possible, put it under sunlight and increase the temperature.

How to use lotus fertilizer

When planting lotus, in spring and autumn, base fertilizer is used during planting, and bone meal can also be used instead. At other times, some liquid fertilizers can be used, such as urea, etc.

When applying fertilizer, liquid fertilizer needs to be diluted before use. The frequency of application can be adjusted according to the variety, and the frequency of application can be higher for large varieties.

What to do if lotus leaves fall off after using too much fertilizer

The roots of the lotus can be observed. If the roots are black and too short, it may be root burnt. It is necessary to control fertilization and replace the internal substrate if necessary.

Lotus fertilization precautions

When fertilizing lotus, it is important to note that it is not suitable to fertilize during the high temperature in summer and the low temperature in winter. Lotus is small in size and different fertilizer types are needed, so it is better to apply less fertilizer than more.
