How to grow the Qilin tree and what to pay attention to

Growth habits of the Qilin tree

The suitable growth temperature of the Qilin tree is between 22 and 28 degrees. Temperatures above 30 degrees are not conducive to its growth. It will enter dormancy above 35 degrees and all its leaves will fall off. It does not like dark environments and cannot be exposed to strong light. It is suitable for maintenance in semi-shade. The temperature for wintering needs to be above 10 degrees.

Light requirements: Euphorbia tridentata likes places with good light. It should be placed in a sunny place during its growth period. Insufficient light can easily lead to abnormal stem growth. It is not resistant to strong light, so shade measures need to be taken in summer. Although it enters a dormant period in winter, it also needs to be placed in a sunny place.

Kirin tree cultivation method

The Kirin tree is in a vigorous growth period in summer and can be placed in a semi-shaded place to avoid exposure to strong sunlight. It likes a dry environment and does not need too much watering. In summer, as long as the soil is slightly moist, it is not cold-resistant. It is best to keep it indoors in winter. The temperature needs to be above 15 degrees. The flowerpot should be changed every 1-2 years and rotten roots should be trimmed.

Watering of the Kylin Tree: The watering of the Kylin Tree should be determined according to the season and growth stage. It should be watered every 2-3 days when it is just potted. It has a greater demand for water in summer and autumn, so it can be watered once a day, but do not allow water to accumulate. It is generally maintained indoors in winter and spring, so watering should be controlled.

Fertilization of the Euphorbia tricolor: Euphorbia tricolor does not like fertilizer very much. Generally, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied when potting. No fertilizer needs to be applied during the later maintenance period, and the plant can still grow well.

Pruning of the Euphorbia tricolor tree: Euphorbia tricolor is special in that its wounds are difficult to heal and generally does not require pruning unless there is a reversion to its original state. In this case, pruning can be done on a small scale, such as on small branches or wrinkled areas.

Kirin tree cuttings: Cut healthy Kirin tree stem segments as cuttings, place them in a well-ventilated environment to dry, then insert them into the soil and spray water after 2-3 days. In the initial stage, keep them in a cool place for a week, then gradually increase the light to provide a growth environment of 22 to 28 degrees.

Qilin tree maintenance precautions

Euphorbia tridentata is suitable for planting in loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil. It should be exposed to the sun more often, but if the light is very strong in summer, it needs to be shaded. Do not water it excessively. After each watering, it can be placed in a well-ventilated environment for maintenance, which can speed up the evaporation of water.
