Sea buckthorn is a positive tree species that is widely distributed in my country. It has strong adaptability to the environment and prefers a warm, humid, well-lit growing environment. The plant has strong vitality and is resistant to cold, heat, wind and sand.

Sea buckthorn growth temperature

Sea buckthorn is not very demanding on temperature, the most suitable growth temperature is around 20℃. The plant has good cold and heat resistance, and can withstand extreme low temperatures of up to -50℃, making it known as the best among plants.

Sea buckthorn growth humidity

Sea buckthorn prefers a humid growing environment, but its requirements are not high. It can generally be planted in areas with an annual precipitation of more than 400 mm, but the plant also does not like waterlogging.

Sea buckthorn growing soil

Sea buckthorn has strong adaptability to soil and can be planted in millet-calcium soil, meadow soil, gray-calcium soil, gravel soil, sandy soil, and brown-calcium soil, but it does not like overly sticky soil.

Seabuckthorn Growth Cycle and Process

The first 1-2 years of the sea buckthorn plant are its growing period, 3-5 years are its initial fruiting period, 4 years later it starts to sprout a large number of adventitious roots, and the next 6-16 years are its peak fruiting period. May to July every year is the period when the sea buckthorn fruits expand.
