How to Grow Aloe Vera

How to Grow Aloe Vera

1. Prepare the soil

1. Flower pot: It is best to use a container with good permeability, that is, one with good air permeability and drainage. Specifically, it is recommended that you use clay pots. If you don’t have one, you can use a plastic pot, but the effect will be worse.

2. Flower soil: It likes flower soil with high nutrient content and good drainage. You can mix some fine sand into the leaf mold to make its flower soil.

2. Divide the mother plant

Prepare a mother plant that is in good growth condition and take it out of the pot. Observe its base carefully, cut off the side buds with roots, and set them aside to dry. Then replant the mother plant back into the original flower soil and place it in a semi-shaded place and carefully maintain it.

3. Planting

Pour the prepared flower soil into the pot and smooth the soil surface. Then dig a small hole on it and plant the cut side buds with the roots facing down into the hole. Add some flower soil into the hole to fill it up, and water it once so that the plant sticks tightly to the soil.

4. Post-maintenance

Newly planted young plants cannot be exposed to strong light, so they should be placed in semi-shaded area for maintenance. Because it has not yet taken root, do not fertilize it. Just water it in moderation to keep the soil slightly moist. After about 7 days, the new plants will begin to take root.
