How to deal with ranunculus after flowering

How to deal with ranunculus after flowering

1. Flowering period

Generally speaking, it blooms from March to April. Although their flowering periods may vary slightly due to differences in region and variety, the differences are not too great. Its flowering can last for about a month. In May and June, when the weather turns hot, most of its flowers will wither. After its flowering period is over, you need to pay attention to its maintenance.

2. How to deal with it

(1) Fertilizer: The first thing to do is of course to supply sufficient nutrients. Flowering consumes a lot of nutrients from the plant. In order to prepare for future growth and flowering next year, it is necessary to apply some fertilizer at this time. Generally speaking, it is best to apply some fertilizer containing phosphorus after flowering. But you don't need too much, once or twice will be enough. During the subsequent growth process, compound fertilizer is still the main fertilizer.

(2) Soil: To provide nutrients, fertilizers alone cannot be relied upon, soil is also needed. The soil can be changed appropriately to increase the humus content in the soil.

(3) Pruning: Pruning after flowering is also very necessary. If not pruned, the withered flowers may continue to waste nutrients and affect future growth. Just cut off the dead branches and flowers.

(4) Temperature: Ensure it is appropriate. However, be aware of the difference between day and night. The best temperature during the day is fifteen to twenty degrees. Seven to eight degrees is best at night.

(5) Water: When the weather is hot after flowering, pay attention to the supply of water.
