When to sow Impatiens

When to sow Impatiens

1. Sowing time

The best time to sow Impatiens is in April every year. The weather and temperature in April are very suitable for sowing. If sown at this time, it will germinate within a week, and its flowering period can last up to two months. However, it is also possible to sow in March-September.

2. Sowing Method

1. Site selection: For sowing and propagation of Impatiens, loose soil with good drainage should be used, and sufficient base fertilizer should be applied to the soil.

2. Sowing: Its seeds are very small and can be sown directly into the soil. Cover it with soil and water it in time. Provide it with a moist growing environment and seedlings will soon grow.

3. Weeding: Weeding is required after the seedlings grow out to prevent weeds and seedlings from competing for nutrients. Weeding is required 2-3 times a year.

3. Daily maintenance

1. Water: During its growth period, it needs to be replenished with water in time to provide it with a moist growth environment, especially in summer, it needs to be watered more to prevent the potting soil from being too dry and affecting the growth of the plant.

2. Temperature: Provide it with a growth environment of 6-26℃. When the temperature is too high in summer, cooling measures need to be taken to avoid growing in an environment with too high or too low temperature.

3. Light: Normally, it should be given sufficient diffuse light and not exposed to strong sunlight. It can accept direct sunlight in winter, but shade should be provided in summer.
