How to make the rueba bloom

How to make the rueba bloom

1. Soil and flower pot selection

It used to grow in mountainous areas, so the soil used to grow it should have some characteristics of mountain loam. It is more suitable to be planted in fertile sandy soil. If you can't find this kind of soil, you can use a mixture of peat and perlite. This kind of soil can ensure air permeability and is more conducive to its root breathing. The flower pot you choose must ensure air permeability, and a clay pot is a good choice.

2. Water and fertilizer

It doesn't like to be in a waterlogged state, and overly wet soil can cause root rot. The sunlight in spring is strong and water evaporates quickly, which can easily cause plants to lack water. If you find that the leaves are wilting, water them thoroughly to replenish moisture. In summer, do not water too much. Watering once every half a month is enough.

The fertilizer used is generally fermented animal manure. Do not allow it to come into contact with the roots when applying fertilizer. Too strong a fertilizer can cause root burn. Add water and fertilizer once a week, adding fertilizer while watering. It is recommended to use liquid fertilizer, which is more conducive to its absorption of nutrients. After the first bloom fades, continue to apply fertilizer once a week, but reduce the amount of watering during this period.

3. Light and temperature

Generally speaking, succulents are afraid of heat, and they are also afraid of hot weather. In the summer when the temperature is relatively high, it is best to place it in a cool air-conditioned room or on a north-facing balcony that is away from the sun as much as possible so that the temperature it is in is not too high. Then there is the supply of light. If it is a relatively humid day and the light intensity is relatively low, it needs to be given a full-day environment. Normally, only half-day light is enough.
