How to change the water of lucky bamboo

1. Water selection

Water is to hydroponics what soil is to soil cultivation, it is a very basic link. But precisely because it is basic, it is very important. Choosing to use only good culture water can make your hydroponics work more efficient.

1. Purified water

Purified water is pure water that does not contain any other substances. Using this kind of water to cultivate lucky bamboo can ensure that it will not be affected by other impurities and can grow normally. But this kind of water usually needs to be bought in the market.

2. Tap water

In addition to purified water, we can also use tap water for cultivation. Compared with purified water, tap water has two major advantages: cheap and convenient.

However, the tap water from the faucet cannot be used directly for aquaculture because some gases used to disinfect the water remain in it. We need to prepare the tap water we are going to use a few days in advance and leave it for a few days before using it. Doing so can effectively evaporate the harmful gases in tap water.

2. Water change method

1. Slowly gather the branches and leaves of the lucky bamboo with your hands and hold them firmly.

2. Use your other hand to pick up the vase and pour out the water. It is important to note that you cannot pour out all the precipitation, you need to keep half of it.

3. Pour the prepared water into the vase. At this time, you should pay attention to pouring slowly and not too much. Pour until the water surface is about 2-3 cm higher than the bamboo roots.

4. Adding a nail to the bottle will make several staples, providing it with nutrition.

3. Clean the vase

If the vase is too dirty, you should do the following:

1. Slowly take the lucky bamboo out of the water and set it aside. Be careful not to damage its roots during this process, otherwise it will make it difficult for it to grow healthily.

2. Pour out the water in the vase and clean the vase.

3. Pour the prepared water into the vase.

4. Slowly put the bamboo back into the vase.
