Tea trees are moisture-tolerant and shade-loving, and are suitable for growing in warm and humid environments. They are cultivated in all parts of my country and are very popular economic tree species. Friends who want to plant tea trees must master the cultivation time and methods. The following editor will introduce the tea tree cultivation time. Let’s take a look. 1. Tea tree cultivation time 1. Spring cultivation It is usually carried out in late February to early March in spring. At this time, the temperature gradually rises, which is conducive to the germination of tea seeds and the growth of tea seedlings. Spring is the peak season for tea tree growth. Tea seedlings planted at this time are easy to survive and grow rapidly. 2. Autumn cultivation It usually takes place in autumn from mid-October to November. Although the temperature gradually drops in autumn, the soil moisture and temperature are still suitable for the growth of tea trees. Tea seedlings planted in autumn can use the soil moisture and temperature in autumn and winter to grow their roots, laying a good foundation for next year's growth. 2. Tea tree cultivation method 1. Deep cultivation before planting Deepening the soil layer creates good conditions for the expansion of tea tree roots, while improving the ability to store water and fertilizer. 2. Apply basal fertilizer Combined with deep cultivation, a large amount of soil and fertilizer or organic fertilizer is applied in layers as base fertilizer. The amount per mu depends on the specific situation, generally not less than 15-25 tons, and 50-100 kg of phosphate fertilizer is added. 3. Sowing method There are mainly two types: single strip planting and double strip planting. The row spacing for single-row planting is 1.3-1.5 meters, and the cluster spacing is 25-33 cm; double-row planting is based on this, with every 2 rows planted adjacent to each other with a small row spacing of 30 cm, a large row spacing of 1.5 meters, and a cluster spacing of 25-33 cm. 4. Treatment before transplanting If the roots of the tea seedlings are long, they should be pruned appropriately, leaving about 2 cm. Soak the roots of the pruned tea seedlings in mud dissolved with rooting powder to increase the survival rate. 5. Transplanting and planting Dig trenches about 35 cm deep in the tea garden to be planted and apply base fertilizer. Stretch the roots of the tea seedlings flat at the bottom of the planting ditch, cover with 80% loose fine soil, tamp it down, then cover the soil on the "mud gate" and compact it. Water the roots promptly and regularly when drought and little rain occur. The above is an introduction to the cultivation time of tea trees. Tea trees are generally cultivated in spring and autumn. After the tea seedlings are transplanted, they generally grow young and weak, have shallow root systems, and have poor drought resistance. Therefore, it is necessary to do a good job of protecting the seedlings.
