The propagation method of Changchun

The propagation method of Changchun

Root division propagation

Breeding time: Spring and autumn (during the growing season)

Reproduction method: This method is very easy. You can dig out the rooted part and replant it at any time during the growth period. Don't damage the roots when digging.

Cutting propagation

Reproduction time: This method can be carried out at any time, but the survival rate in spring is higher than in other seasons.

Reproduction method: Choose branches that are relatively strong and free of diseases and insect pests. The older the branches, the better. Cut into small pieces, each about 10 cm to 15 cm long, but make sure each piece has 3 to 4 nodes. Then insert it directly into the soil. Do not insert it straight in. It should be tilted a little and the soil should cover one node. If this method is carried out in spring, the rooting speed will be the fastest among other seasons.

Tissue culture propagation

Breeding time: Spring and autumn (during the growing season)

Reproduction method: This method first uses cuttings to obtain sterile branches. Then cut the branch into 3 to 4 sections for rooting culture. New white roots will grow in about 8 to 10 days. The rooting effect of this method can reach 100%.

If the above propagation method is carried out when the temperature is low, you must pay attention to keeping warm. During the breeding process, the environment should be kept moist and not too dry. Otherwise it will be very detrimental to rooting.
