How to water wisteria

How to water wisteria

Watering precautions

Although wisteria likes moisture and is a large plant, it consumes a lot of water. But because its roots can go deep into the ground and find groundwater which is different from surface water, it has a strong resistance to cold and will not cause much impact even if it is not watered for a long time. On the contrary, if the roots of the plant are soaked in water for a long time, root rot and other phenomena may easily occur.

Watering tips for wisteria:

1. Better dry than wet:

When watering wisteria, you should follow the principle of keeping it dry but not wet. Too much water is not conducive to its flowering. When watering the flowers, you can observe the soil and water it only when the soil is completely dry. Be sure to water the flowers each time to allow the water to penetrate deep into the soil.

2. Water deduction in August:

August is the season when wisteria differentiates flower buds. Too much water will result in too few flowers of wisteria, so the amount of watering should be reduced appropriately and returned to normal in September.

3. Late autumn water reduction:

In late autumn, when other plants begin to shed their leaves, the water supply to wisteria must be strictly restricted to prevent the formation of autumn shoots and to maintain its "physical strength" to bloom more flowers in the following year.

4. Add water in spring and summer:

Spring and summer are the seasons when wisteria gathers its strength to grow, so it is necessary to ensure sufficient water so that the plant can grow luxuriantly.

The above is all the content that the editor brings to you today. Wisteria is a long-lived plant that has been favored by literati since ancient times. Growing one at home is not only beautiful, but also very elegant and stylish.
