How to water the flying feather arrowroot

How to water the flying feather arrowroot

The need for water

First of all, we should know that this plant is native to America, that is, the tropical region, where water is relatively abundant, so its overall requirement for water is relatively high. Moreover, if we control the factor of watering, the strange phenomenon we mentioned above will appear. The specific explanation is that there is a part where its leaves and petioles are connected, which is different from other plants. It is called the "pulvinus", which contains cells that can store water. If there is enough water at night, the leaves will stand upright. If there is insufficient water during the day, the leaves will unfold.

Watering methods at different times

In spring, summer and autumn, the growth rate of plants is still relatively fast, so the treatment is basically the same. Just keep the potting soil moist. When the temperature is very high in summer, you can also frequently spray some water on the leaves or the environment around the plants.

There is basically no need to water in winter, and even if you do water, the amount needs to be strictly controlled. Generally speaking, it is better to keep the soil a little drier. If the leaves of the plant appear a little dry at this time, don't worry too much. This is normal, and it will return to normal and grow new leaves after the temperature rises in the spring.

Precautions

Plants also have certain requirements for air humidity, preferably around 65 to 75 percent, and not exceeding 85 percent. If the humidity level does not meet the requirements, it can be humidified by spraying or other methods.

Another point is that if we want to see the strange phenomenon mentioned at the beginning, we can control the watering time and water at night.
