Fertilization method of evergreen

Fertilization method of evergreen

Fertilizer requirements for Dieffenbachia

Because the leaves of this plant are relatively large and remain green all year round, it has a relatively large demand for nutrients.

Specific fertilization method

Pay special attention to the growing season. It is best to apply organic fertilizer every two weeks or so, and liquid fertilizer every ten or fifteen days. The effect will be better if mixed with feces.

When its flower buds are in the early stage of differentiation, remember to apply fertilizer. You can also add nutrients containing sufficient phosphorus to the fertilizer to supplement the necessary trace elements.

Stop fertilizing when the flowers are about to bloom. If the branches are full of small fruits, you need to change your strategy and apply fertilizer multiple times, but each time you need to use a dilute fertilizer.

In spring and autumn, reduce the frequency of fertilization appropriately. Apply liquid fertilizer every half a month or twenty days. Be sure to choose fertilizers that are sufficient in nitrogen and potassium.

When winter comes, the temperature is lower and fertilizing should be stopped. Flower lovers do not have to worry about lack of nutrients because the evergreen has stored enough nutrients to survive the winter.

Several issues that should be noted

Nitrogen fertilizer is essential for the growth of evergreen. Nutrients sufficient in nitrogen are preferred. In addition, you can also spray about 0.3% urea on the leaves. The combination of the two will have a more obvious effect.

When choosing fertilizer, you should also pay attention to its water solubility. Fertilizers with good water solubility are easier to absorb and the effect will be correspondingly better.

When preparing the soil for planting, in addition to paying attention to the choice of soil, you should also mix base fertilizer into the soil, such as fully fermented animal manure mixed with a small amount of soil. After the configuration is completed, it must be exposed to strong sunlight before it can be used.
