How to grow white sandalwood cactus and make it bloom

Winter care of white sandalwood cactus

It is very important for the white sandalwood cactus to hibernate in winter, because the plant will only bloom after sufficient hibernation.

In winter, when caring for the white sandalwood cactus, the first thing to do is to stop watering and keep the soil dry. And pay attention to maintaining the temperature. The indoor temperature is generally between 5℃ and 10℃, and the light should be good so that it can hibernate well.

If the temperature is too high in winter, causing the sandalwood to wake up and start growing early, it will affect the flowering of the sandalwood.

Spring Care of White Sandalwood Cactus

In spring, the sandalwood cactus begins to revive and needs proper care at this time. Starting from April, you can move the sandalwood outdoors to bask in the sun, but be careful not to water it.

As the temperature and light change, the sandalwood plants will turn dark red and begin to grow flower buds. In the early stages of the bud growth, they cannot be watered. Wait until they grow to 1cm long before watering, and they will probably bloom soon.

Please note that if you water the sandalwood before the flower buds have grown well, the flower buds that have already grown will shrink, and bulblets will grow on the plant, and only the larger flower buds can bloom.

Therefore, it is very important to water the sandalwood when the flower buds are growing stably in spring.
