If you grow flowers like this, there will be absolutely no mosquitoes at home

1Soil sterilization and disinfection to prevent mosquitoes

Many times, most mosquitoes hatch from eggs in the soil. Therefore, if you want to kill mosquitoes at the source, you still have to start from the soil.

Solution:

1. Disinfection by exposure to the sun. After preparing the culture soil for growing flowers, place it on a clean concrete floor or wooden board, spread a thin layer on the ground and expose it to the sun. Turn the soil over every 2-3 days so that the soil close to the ground can also be exposed to the sun. After about 3-15 days, insect eggs and some pathogens in the soil can be killed.

2. Disinfection with carbendazim. Add carbendazim to the soil in a ratio of 1:800. Stir evenly and cover with a film. After 2-4 days, when the smell evaporates, you can use it.

3. Steaming and disinfection. Put the nutrient soil in the steamer, turn on the fire and heat to 60 degrees -100 degrees for 30-60 minutes, then take out the nutrient soil and dry it, and use it after the soil temperature drops. Be careful not to heat for too long, otherwise it will easily kill the beneficial microorganisms in the soil and affect the normal growth and development of the flowers.

2. Light mosquito coils to repel mosquitoes

In fact, if you find small insects such as mosquitoes at home, the best way to solve them is to use mosquito coils.

Solution:

1. If you find that there are a lot of mosquitoes around the plants, you can choose to light a mosquito coil directly to kill those little bugs. You can light the mosquito coil and place it next to the flower pot, then find a large plastic bag to cover the flowers and the flower pot. Open it after about an hour, and mosquitoes and the like will basically be eliminated.

2. Bury the used electric mosquito coils in the soil about 3 cm away from the surface of the flower pot to kill mosquitoes.

3. Spraying drugs such as Huhuashen to prevent mosquitoes

If you have tried the above two methods, but still find that the flowers in your home are attracting insects, then you must use your ultimate move and use the flower guardian to kill the insects!

Directions:

1. Mix Flower Protector and water in a concentration ratio of 1:200, and then spray it on the leaves of the plants. Spray the leaf surface and the back of the leaves evenly. Spray once every 3-5 days, and the insects can be eliminated quickly!

2. Mix the flower protector and water in a ratio of 1:500, and then irrigate the roots about once a week. The insecticidal effect is also good.

Tips: As the saying goes, every medicine is poisonous. If you want to use drugs such as Flower Protector, whether it is spraying or root irrigation, it is best to do it outdoors. If you have to do it indoors, it is best to wear a mask and keep the room ventilated.

4. Soak orange peel in water to prevent mosquitoes

Many flower lovers may not know that soaking orange peels in water can actually be very effective in preventing and controlling mosquitoes.

Directions:

1. Soak fresh orange peels in water, and then pour them into the flowerpot. Basically, soak and water at the same time, and the insects can be killed in about 3-4 days.

2. Put the orange peel in a plastic bottle or plastic bucket or other container with water, tighten the lid and expose it to the sun for 3-5 days. Then take the upper liquid and add water, mix it in a ratio of 1:5 and water the mixture. This will kill small flying insects.

5. Onion, ginger, garlic, and chili water to prevent mosquitoes

Some irritating things such as onions, ginger, garlic and chili peppers can repel mosquitoes to a certain extent. Today Huahua will introduce to you in detail the method of using chili water to repel insects.

Directions:

1. Prepare an appropriate amount of chili. A single variety of pepper will do, or if conditions permit, you can mix multiple types of peppers together and then put the peppers in a juicer.

2. Add appropriate amount of water and blend in a juicer for 1 minute to turn the peppers into pepper soup.

3. Pour the prepared chili soup into a filter and filter it. Put the filtered chili water into a clean bottle for later use.

4. When using, mix pepper water and water in a 1:1 ratio in a spray bottle, and then spray it on the flowers with insects.

6. Soak tobacco in water to prevent mosquitoes

Flower lovers who have someone smoking at home can choose to use local materials. Take out the tobacco from the cigarette, soak it in water, and then water the flowers, which can also achieve the effect of preventing and controlling mosquitoes.

Directions:

1. Take out the remaining tobacco from the cigarette butt and soak it in water.

2. When the solution turns dark brown, you can scoop out the soaked tobacco.

3. Spraying insect-infested plants with tobacco water can kill mosquitoes, or you can pour tobacco water directly into flower pots to kill insects without harming the plants.

Tips:

1. The reason why many mosquitoes are produced is that some flowers require high humidity for their growth and development. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure that no water accumulates in the flowerpot, and you can choose to spray more water on the leaves.

2. Do not apply uncomposted fertilizer into the pot. Although expired milk, fruit peels, rotten leaves and other kitchen waste can be made into fertilizers with high nutritional value, they must be fully decomposed before use, because these unfermented things are particularly susceptible to attracting insects.

3. When applying decomposed organic fertilizer to flowers, it is best to dig a hole about 2 cm, bury the fertilizer in the flowerpot, and cover it with soil to avoid attracting insects because of the smell emitted by the fertilizer.

That’s all for today’s introduction.
