Four-season management methods of cactus

Four-season management methods of cactus

Spring management of cactus

To grow cactus in spring, you only need to ensure the proper application of water and fertilizer. Make sure to place it in a well-lit place and give it enough sunlight.

Spring is also relatively dry, so you can often spray water on the surface of the leaves to keep them moist and shiny.

Summer management of cactus

Because the summer is hot and dry, cacti are easily harmed by red spider pests in a dry and hot environment, which causes yellow-brown rust spots to grow on the sphere, affecting the growth and ornamental value of the plant.

Therefore, in summer maintenance and management, we must pay attention to ventilation and proper shading to avoid direct sunlight and long-term exposure to the sun, which will cause the plants to lack water;

Summer is the growing season for cactus. Because the temperature is high, cactus needs a lot of water and must be watered sufficiently. The best time is to water it sufficiently in the morning and evening when the temperature is low.

Autumn management of cactus

Autumn is also the growing season for cacti. At this time, they can be transplanted and new soil should be used.

After autumn, you need to pay attention to controlling the fertilizer and water of cactus. It only needs to be applied once a month, and stop fertilizing in early October.

Winter management of cactus

In winter, the cactus must be moved indoors to avoid frostbite due to the cold.

Cactus is very afraid of cold, so you must take anti-cold measures. You can cover the entire plant with plastic film and place it in a warm place for maintenance.

When caring for the cactus, make sure the soil in the pot is dry and the temperature is around 4-7℃ so that it can safely spend the winter.
