How to grow the newly bought colorful peppers

How to grow the newly bought colorful peppers

1. How to deal with the colorful peppers you just bought

It is not recommended to repot the colorful peppers just purchased from the flower market or online. If you must repot them, be sure not to break up the original soil. The newly bought colorful peppers should be placed in a well-lit and ventilated place for 3 days to allow them to adapt to the new environment.

2. How to grow the colorful peppers you bought

1. Light: After the newly bought colorful peppers are adapted to a well-ventilated place with diffused light for 3 days, they can be moved to a south-facing balcony and should be exposed to the sun for at least 4 hours a day. When maintaining indoors, be sure to ventilate the plant frequently. If conditions permit, it is best to grow it outdoors.

2. Temperature: The most suitable growth temperature for colorful peppers is 15-32℃. They are not afraid of heat. As long as the soil has sufficient moisture in summer, they can survive the summer safely. After harvesting the fruits in autumn, remember to move them indoors for the winter, and move them outdoors when the weather warms up next year.

3. Watering: The newly purchased colorful peppers are usually in the flowering and fruiting period, so you should adhere to the principle of watering them when the soil is dry and watering them when the soil is wet. That is to say, after the soil in the pot becomes light, water it thoroughly in time. During this period, the water should not be too much or too little, so as to prevent the plant from falling flowers.

4. Fertilization: During the growth period of colorful peppers, you can apply vegetable and fruit type nutrient solution every half a month, which can make the plants grow more vigorously and promote the growth of flowers and fruits. Stop fertilizing the plants after flowering, and wait until the fruits are harvested in autumn to overwinter indoors. Change the pots and bury the base fertilizer in the spring of the following year and continue maintenance.
