Lina Lian's beheading reproduction

Lina Lian's beheading reproduction

Soil preparation

Linalina needs to be beheaded for propagation, and of course, soil is indispensable. So, how should the soil be prepared for the propagation of Linaloa?

First of all, we need to know that Linaloa likes breathable and well-drained soil, so when mixing the soil, we need to ensure the air permeability of the soil.

Basically, when preparing the soil, you can choose to mix the base soil into the base. Mix river sand with coal slag, peat soil and perlite in appropriate proportions. The specific configuration can be made according to actual conditions. Spread clean fine sand on the surface of the prepared substrate.

Location

To carry out beheading propagation, you need to find a suitable location on the succulent plant.

The leaves of Lina lily are relatively compact. When cutting off the top, you should not choose a too tender part, but a slightly hardened part. When beheading, you can generally choose one-third of the plant, and leave a circle of leaves on the mother plant to grow new plants.

How to operate

In fact, beheading the Lina lotus is relatively simple. Hold the plant, aim a knife at the selected position, and slowly push the knife in to separate the branches.

Place the cut Linaloa plant in the prepared potting soil and wait for it to take root.

Cutting and maintenance

Linalin needs careful care after beheading. The mother plant can continue to grow after the wound heals after beheading. This is generally called "heading". Flower lovers who like "heading" can do the beheading, and the cut plants can be propagated.

The beheaded plants need to wait until their wounds heal before they can be propagated, and the wounds must not be exposed to water. You can place the Lina lotus in a bright and ventilated place for maintenance.
