How to root succulent plants

Root cutting process

Tools: Scissors, small flower pot with soil

step:

Select more mature fleshy roots and cut them, making sure the cut is smooth.

Place the cut fleshy roots in a ventilated place for 2 to 3 days to wait for the wound to heal.

After the wound has healed, bury it in the sand bed with about 1 cm of the upper part exposed.

Keep it in a bright light environment.

After about 20 to 30 days, new shoots will sprout from the top of the root.

It takes about 1 to 2 months to form a complete small plant.

Root cutting tips

The selected fleshy roots should be strong and free of diseases and pests.

After cutting, place the wound side upwards and try not to let it come into contact with sand or water. If it gets stained with sand or water, wipe it off immediately with a clean paper towel.

During the rooting process, water appropriately to keep the soil in the pot moist.

Before germination, avoid strong sunlight exposure.
