When does passion fruit bear fruit and when does it mature?

When does passion fruit bear fruit and when does it mature?

1. Result Time

Generally, passion fruit is planted in February and March in spring. If it is planted at this time, as long as it is properly maintained, it will bloom around May or June. Then after natural pollination or artificial pollination, it will start to bear fruit. However, its flowering time is not the same, and the fruiting time will be different depending on the flowering period. The earliest flowering period is May and June, followed by July and August in summer, and September in autumn. Fruits will usually be produced after the flowering period.

2. Maturity Time

The flowers bloom and bear fruit at different times, and the fruit ripening time also varies. Normally, if the flowers bloom in spring, it usually takes 40-60 days for the fruits to mature. If it blooms in summer, you need to wait 60-80 days. It blooms in autumn and the fruits mature after 80-90 days. Others will bloom after October. If they bloom at this time, you will have to wait at least 90 days before the fruit matures.

Generally speaking, people harvest the fruits after November in the autumn and winter seasons. When harvesting, be sure to wait until the skin turns yellow or purple-red, or wait until it falls off naturally before harvesting. Pick it up as soon as possible after it falls, otherwise it will easily rot after being exposed to rain or sun.
