Cultivation methods and precautions of Hibiscus snow lotus

Cultivation methods and precautions of Hibiscus snow lotus

1. Maintenance methods

1. Substrate selection: Hibiscus snow lotus will grow well in loose and breathable granular planting materials. When maintaining the plant, you can choose a mixture of leaf mold, river sand, garden soil, slag, etc.

2. Temperature management: It likes an environment with a certain temperature difference between day and night. During maintenance, the night temperature should be kept at around 10℃. It has a certain degree of cold resistance, and the temperature must be maintained above 0℃ in winter. During the hot summer months, pay attention to shade and ventilation, and don't let the temperature get too high.

3. Water management: It has a certain degree of drought resistance, so it needs to be watered appropriately during maintenance, and only watered when the soil becomes dry. Even during the high temperatures in summer, water the plants sparingly to avoid moisture that may cause the plants to rot.

4. Nutrient management: Use compound fertilizer once every half a month or so during the growing season. When fertilizing, do not splash fertilizer onto the leaves, because the white powder can be easily washed away, making regeneration difficult and affecting the appearance.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Cuttings: Pick off the small heads next to the mother plant, then place them in moist soil for a few days to allow them to take root. After it grows out, put it in a pot and let it grow slowly.

2. Overwintering: It has a certain degree of cold resistance. In the cold winter, it is best to grow it in a sunny place indoors. The night temperature is around 10℃, which has a certain temperature difference between day and night. You can water it to let it grow. If that temperature is not reached, reduce watering to let it go dormant. It can tolerate low temperatures of 0℃ to 5℃.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Root rot: Do not water or fertilize too much, as humidity and heat can cause root rot. Place the plant in a well-ventilated place without sunlight and water it sparingly.

2. Powdery scale: It is mostly caused by poor ventilation and can be controlled with insecticides.

IV. Other issues

1. Is it poisonous? It is not poisonous and is very good for viewing and for people's physical and mental health.

2. Can it be raised at home: It can be raised at home. It is ornamental, can beautify the environment, purify indoor air, and help relieve people's stress.
