How to prepare the soil for Phalaenopsis (the simplest method of preparing nutrient soil)

1. Soil requirements

The soil for growing Phalaenopsis should be loose and breathable enough, not too thick. The drainage capacity of the cultivation soil must be good, otherwise the water cannot be drained out, which will easily cause the roots of the plant to rot. Avoid using soil for cultivation as it is not conducive to plant growth. You can prepare the soil yourself, or go directly to the flower market and buy suitable soil.

2. Soil preparation method

Use 7 parts of humus soil, 2 parts of clean river sand and 1 part of fine furnace ash, mix them evenly. This kind of soil is very suitable for plant growth. You can also directly use sphagnum moss, charcoal, broken bricks and tiles, coconut shells, expanded clay, tree fern roots, etc. You cannot just use garden soil. The planting soil should be slightly acidic. You can also fix the seedlings of the plant on charcoal and let it grow on its own.

You can also use a mixture of peanut shells and crushed moss, as long as the soil is breathable enough. Be careful not to use clay soil for cultivation, as it will seriously hinder the growth of the plant's roots.
