Difference Between Acacia and Julibrissin

1. Differences in tree trunks

The trunk of the acacia tree is covered with many thorns and is gray-brown in color. It is a small deciduous tree.

The Albizia Julibrissin has many aliases. It has no thorns on its trunk, can reach a height of 16 meters, and is dark in color.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of acacia trees grow symmetrically outwards and close together in pairs at night. The leaves grow late, after flowering.

The Albizia Julibrissin generally has 10 to 30 pairs of leaflets, which are linear or oblong in shape, about 6-12 mm long, 1-4 mm wide, with small hairs on the edges, and the leaves grow before the flowers bloom.

3. The difference of flowers

The flowers of the acacia tree are yellow in color, and look like yellow clouds from a distance. They are very beautiful.

The flowers of the Albizia Julibrissin are white or pink, the calyx is tubular, about 3 mm long, and the flowering period is from June to July.
