Cultivation methods and precautions of mountain thorn rose

Cultivation methods and precautions of mountain thorn rose

1.Curating temperature

It is relatively strong and prefers a warm and dry climate, so the humidity is generally most suitable between 18 and 26 degrees. In winter, if the temperature can be kept above 15 degrees, it will continue to bloom throughout the winter. Once the temperature cannot be maintained, all its leaves will fall off and it will enter a dormant state, so the temperature must be well controlled.

2. Necessary reproduction

In order to cultivate more and better Rosa rugosa, the most commonly used methods are seed propagation, cutting propagation and division propagation. Of course, the propagation time is different for different propagation methods. If it is seed propagation, the fruits are usually picked and the seeds are taken out in early September. For cuttings, we start collecting seedlings and starting cuttings in early July every year. It is generally better to divide the plant in autumn, and no matter which method is used, it can ensure that it survives well.

3. Necessary fertilization

When it is growing well, top dressing is generally done once every half a month. Some organic liquid fertilizer or compound chemical fertilizer can be used, but in winter, you can reduce fertilization appropriately. If it is in a greenhouse, you can continue to fertilize, if not, you can reduce fertilization.

4. Prevention and control of pests and diseases

Of course, every plant has its own diseases and pests, which are the most troublesome. For example, the most common diseases and pests encountered by Rosa rugosa are powdery mildew and leaf moth, which can cause great damage to the leaves of Rosa rugosa. At this time, we need to use some medicines for timely spraying and treatment. The earlier the discovery and treatment, the better. This way, we can reduce the damage to it and allow it to grow healthily. Therefore, pests and diseases must not be underestimated.
