Key points for home care of Phalaenopsis

Key points for home care of Phalaenopsis

Phalaenopsis maintenance point 1: reasonable temperature

Phalaenopsis likes warmth and humidity, so when we raise Phalaenopsis at home, we must pay attention to maintaining the temperature. Generally speaking, the minimum temperature during the growth period of Phalaenopsis should be kept above 15℃, the suitable temperature is 18-28℃, and the temperature during the flowering period should be kept at 23-25℃ for the best. Special attention should be paid to summer and winter. In summer, in order to avoid high temperatures and damage to the flowers, more attention should be paid to ventilation and cooling. The temperature is relatively low in winter, which may cause the roots of Phalaenopsis to stop absorbing water and growing, causing the plant to die. Therefore, attention should be paid to insulation in winter.

Phalaenopsis maintenance point 2: suitable sunlight

Phalaenopsis should be placed in a bed with sufficient light and smooth ventilation. Placing it in a dark place will easily affect the growth of the plant and cause it to be infected by pests. However, at the same time, attention should also be paid to the burns to the leaves by light under high temperatures. Therefore, when the high temperature and high humidity come in summer, it is necessary to do a good job of ventilation and heat prevention, and also to prepare for shading.

Phalaenopsis maintenance point three: reasonable humidity

Insufficient humidity in the air will cause the leaves of Phalaenopsis to wrinkle. Therefore, Phalaenopsis is suitable for growing in an environment with an air humidity of 50%-80%. During the flower-growing process, you can place a basin of water next to the flowerpot to increase the humidity.

Phalaenopsis maintenance point 4: reasonable fertilization

Phalaenopsis needs to be fertilized throughout the year. In spring and summer, it is recommended to fertilize once every week. In autumn and winter, it is recommended to apply phosphorus fertilizer every half a month. After each fertilization, rinse the flower pots and flowers with water.
