What does succulent medicinal brocade mean?

What is Yaojin

I believe everyone is familiar with the variegation of succulents. When growing succulents, due to the environment and genes, there is a certain chance of variegation. This situation is still rare, and some states are quite charming, so it is very popular among people.

Generally, when succulent plants grow in patterns, there will be several forms. Like white brocade, it shows that the leaves turn white. There are also yellow brocade, orange brocade, as well as white spots and silver lines, each with its own characteristics.

The so-called medicinal variegation refers to the fact that some merchants, in order to make their succulents appear variegated, use drugs to stimulate the plants, destroying the chlorophyll and pigments in the plants, changing the color of the leaves, making people feel as if they are variegated. This is Yaojin.

Is there any benefit?

In fact, it is not a good idea to use drugs to stimulate the growth of variegated plants in succulents.

First of all, this is not true variegated growth, it is just a shortcut. Compared with the true variegated succulent, it has less sedimentation and does not feel worth it.

Secondly, drugs that stimulate variegation in succulents will destroy the chlorophyll in the leaves, so that the leaves can no longer carry out photosynthesis normally, cannot accumulate nutrients, and will slowly die. If less medicine is used to stimulate the variegation, the leaves may slowly return to normal and there will be no variegation.
