How to grow Duzhanchun

How to grow Duzhanchun

Exclusive spring potting

The exclusive spring pot can be done in spring or autumn. The flower pot should be small and deep, and the holes at the bottom of the pot should also be large, so that it has good air permeability and is easy to root. After 2-3 years, it can be replaced with a purple clay pot or a porcelain pot.

Exclusive watering in spring

It is not advisable to lack water during the peak growth period of the spring. Once water shortage in summer, the plant will grow poorly. If the soil in the pot is dry, water it. If the soil in the pot is moist, no watering is needed, and it should be kept moderately dry. If you are watering, you must water it thoroughly, not halfway. The number of times can depend on the situation. If it is some hard hydrophobic planting material, watering once a day is enough. If it is some water-absorbent planting material, watering can be done once every 2-3 days. Also, be careful not to water at noon or under the scorching sun in summer.

Exclusive spring fertilization

Farmyard manure is a good choice of fertilizer, but it is best to use it after it is decomposed. Try to apply the fertilizer to the edge of the pot, and avoid applying it to the roots or leaves. You can use the method of foliar fertilizer spraying, which allows it to absorb nutrients without damaging the roots.

Exclusive spring pest control

The main diseases and pests of Duzhanchun are white rot, anthracnose, scale insects, etc. The prevention and control of these diseases is to keep the potting soil dry, ventilated and light-permeable. If infected, you can prevent and control it by replacing the potting soil, burning the infected plants, etc. The control of insect pests lies in spraying pesticides or manually removing them.

The above is the cultivation method of Duzhanchun. As long as we remember these cultivation points, we can cultivate a unique Duzhanchun with ornamental value.
