How to grow Impatiens and what kind of soil to use for growing it

1. Prepare the soil

When cultivating Impatiens, you should use loose, breathable and fertile soil, preferably sandy soil, and mix it with an appropriate amount of base fertilizer. If it is planted in the ground, the land should be prepared and ridges should be made in advance, and base fertilizer should be applied so that the plants can grow more vigorously later.

2. Seed Processing

When cultivating, the seeds must be processed first to shorten their dormancy time. You can soak the seeds directly in clean water for about a day. This way the seeds can absorb a lot of water and germinate faster. After soaking, take out and place in a cool place to dry. When there is no moisture on the surface, you can sow the seeds.

3. Sowing and Planting

Pay attention to the time of sowing, it is best to sow in March and April when the climate is more suitable, which is conducive to germination and later growth. When sowing, you can use the on-demand method and just put the seeds in directly. Place three seeds in each hole, cover with two centimeters of soil after planting, and water to keep it moist.

4. Post-management

As long as the climate and temperature are suitable, the seeds will soon germinate and grow into seedlings. Pay attention to management during the seedling period. It is best to apply lime phosphate once to promote root growth. After the plants become mature, they need to be applied with decomposed farmyard manure every month to promote vigorous growth. In addition, if you find any weeds, remove them to avoid competition.
