When does the rose bloom?

1. When to bloom

1. It originated in China and is a semi-evergreen plant with brightly colored flowers and many varieties. There are currently more than a thousand varieties in my country. It can continue to bloom for about 200 days, starting in May every year and lasting until mid-November. It smells really nice when the flowers are in bloom. Women can use its flowers to regulate menstruation, which will make their mood more relaxed.

2. The length of its flowering period depends on the climate. Generally, the first flowering in spring and the last flowering in winter are the longest. If the temperature is high, it will bloom for a shorter time, and if the temperature is low, it will bloom for a longer time. If its petals are thicker, the flowering period will be longer. If its petals are softer, the flowering period will be shorter.

2. What methods are used to promote flowering?

1. Long daylight

First of all, the time it receives light must be long. For example, the area where it is planted must be sufficiently ventilated and exposed to sunlight. This is a necessary condition for it to bloom. If the light does not meet its requirements, it can only bloom in spring and autumn at best.

2. Prune frequently

If it is not pruned regularly, it will not bloom. The pruning procedure is that after December of each year, its leaves will fall off, and at this time it needs to be pruned, leaving about 15 cm of its branches, and then removing the unhealthy branches.

After the flowers grow in May, remove half of the branch to allow it to grow more flower buds. If you want its flowers to grow bigger, you can remove some of the buds when they just grow out, which will concentrate the nutrients and prolong the flowering time.

3. Apply more fertilizer

If it is a newly planted potted plant, you should use soil that contains a lot of humus to facilitate root ventilation. It is best to mix some animal manure in the soil. If you want to repot an old tree, you can use the soil mentioned above to repot it. If you don't plan to change the pot, dig out two or three centimeters of soil and pour in some animal manure. It is best to wait until January or February, as this will allow the fertilizer to ferment better and the effect will be better.
