What to do if lavender leaves wither? Lavender leaves dry up

What to do if lavender leaves wither? Lavender leaves dry up

1. Proper shade

Lavender is a long-day plant and its growth cannot be separated from sufficient light, but it is not resistant to strong light and cannot withstand exposure to the scorching sun. Long-term exposure to the sun can easily cause the leaves to dry out. In this case, it needs to be properly shaded, especially in summer, and must be avoided from sunlight. But when the light is soft, it should be placed in a sunny place, which is conducive to its growth.

2. Control watering

Lavender does not require much water. If you water it too much, it will easily cause the roots to be flooded, causing the leaves to wither. In this case, the water needs to be drained out immediately and the soil needs to be turned over regularly to turn out the moist soil so that the water can evaporate faster, but be careful not to damage the roots when turning the soil.

3. Improve ventilation

If lavender grows in a poorly ventilated environment, the plant's leaves will wither due to poor breathing. It needs to be placed in a well-ventilated place, but the wind cannot be too strong, otherwise the plant will be easily blown off. Maintaining good air circulation not only allows it to breathe better, but also reduces the growth of bacteria.

4. Remove the pot and prune the roots

Lavender needs certain nutrients during its growth process, so it is necessary to apply fertilizer appropriately. If the fertilizer is too concentrated, it will cause the roots of the plant to burn and the leaves to dry up. For the dead leaves caused by this situation, you need to immediately rinse the potting soil with clean water. In addition, you need to take the plant out of the pot, trim the rotten roots appropriately, and replant it with new soil.
