1. Too much water

The leaves of Spathiphyllum turn black, probably because of improper watering. Although it likes a humid growing environment, if it is given too much water, causing a large amount of water to accumulate at the bottom of the flowerpot, the roots will rot, and the tips and edges of the leaves will turn black, which will then gradually expand. You need to cut off the black leaves first, and then control the moisture in time. Do not continue watering it. Loosen the soil in time to promote water to flow out of the bottom of the pot. It also needs to be placed in a well-ventilated place to promote water evaporation.

2. Low temperature

Spathiphyllum is afraid of cold climates. If you do not keep warm in winter, the low temperature environment in the north will cause the leaves to turn black and some black spots to appear on the leaves. Move the plants indoors in time in mid-to-late October and control the temperature above 10℃ and not lower than 5℃.

3. Fertilizer is too concentrated

It needs nutrient supplementation during its growth process, but once too much fertilizer is applied, it will be difficult for the plant to absorb normally, resulting in some fertilizer remaining in the roots, causing the roots to burn. The transport function will be affected and the leaves will turn black. Cut off the black leaves in time, trim off the rotten roots, and replace the potting soil with new one for maintenance.
