How to make camellia bloom early and extend its flowering period

1. How to make camellia bloom early

Under normal circumstances, camellia blooms between March and April every year. If you want it to bloom earlier, you need to use some techniques. Most of the time, we observe the growth of flower buds in September every autumn, and decide whether to paint the flower buds based on the specific situation to promote flowering on October 1st. It depends on the specific variety, hormone treatment and temperature control. In July and August every year, you can use a brush to dip gibberellin and apply it on the flower buds once every three days. Fertilizer and water should be managed normally.

2. How to prolong the flowering period of camellia

1. Water in moderation: If you want it to bloom early and have a longer flowering period, you need to water it in moderation. Normally, you should water the plants thoroughly each time and use slightly acidic or neutral water so that they can absorb the water better and grow better. If it is in the northern region, the water is alkaline, and ferrous sulfate should be added to the water regularly to maintain acidity, which will promote better growth and better flowering.

2. Adequate light: It is a plant that likes light. If you want it to bloom, you must ensure that there is enough light. It should be placed in a bright place at ordinary times and get more sunlight to accumulate nutrients, promote flowering, and extend the flowering period.

3. Adequate nutrients: If you want it to bloom longer, you need sufficient nutrients. It also likes fertilizer, so it should be fertilized frequently. Before flowering, add an appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote flower bud differentiation. But be careful about the amount applied, not too much, and it is best to water appropriately after application to help dilute it. Or you can directly apply diluted fertilizer solution.
