What diseases and pests does Phalaenopsis have, and what medicines are used for them?

1. Common diseases

1. Anthracnose: If it is provided with a high humidity and poorly ventilated environment during maintenance, it is susceptible to anthrax. When the disease occurs, it will seriously harm the growth of leaves. It is necessary to strengthen ventilation and change the maintenance environment. Also spray medicine for treatment. Just choose mancozeb as the drug.

2. Botrytis cinerea: It is afraid of low temperature environment. If the temperature is too low and the environment is humid, it is easy to be infected with botrytis cinerea. The flowers will then be vulnerable to damage and may even fall off in severe cases. The diseased flowers should be cut off in time and sprayed with cypermethrin for treatment. Spray once every ten days, and two or three times will be enough.

3. Brown spot disease: Brown spot disease usually occurs in high temperature and high humidity environments, and mostly harms leaves. There will be some spots on the leaves. After discovery, management should be strengthened and polyoxin should be sprayed.

1. Scale insects: Scale insects mostly parasitize on leaves and pseudobulbs, causing the leaves to turn yellow and fall off. It is mainly caused by lack of light, poor ventilation and high humidity. After discovering them, you can use a brush dipped in water to brush them off. If there are a lot of pests, you can spray them with safflower emulsion once every seven to ten days, and use it three times in a row.

2. Whiteflies: Whiteflies mainly live on leaves, leaf sheaths and pseudobulbs, causing the leaves to dry up and fall off. After discovery, the maintenance environment should be changed and pyrochlore emulsion should be sprayed to completely eliminate the pests. Otherwise, the pests have a strong reproductive capacity and cause serious harm.
