What should I do if my crabapple flowers are infested with insects?

1. Reasons

If the environment or methods provided during maintenance are inappropriate, it will easily cause insect pests, which will not only reduce the ornamental value, but may also cause the entire plant to die of disease. Therefore, once discovered, measures should be taken to prevent and control it. Of course, different pests require different measures or sprays.

2. Solution

1. Scarab beetle: Scarab beetle is the most likely pest to be caused during its growth period and is relatively common. It mainly erodes the main roots and stems of the plants, causing plant growth defects. When treating, you can spray omethoate solution, then loosen the surface soil to allow the solution to penetrate as quickly as possible. The pests will die once they touch it.

2. Red spider mites: Red spider mites mainly harm the leaves of plants, causing them to turn yellow or even fall off. When you find the infested leaves, pick them off. If the affected area is large, spray dimethoate emulsifiable concentrate to eliminate them.

3. Aphids: Aphids cause great damage to the plant, mainly on the back of the leaves. They will suck all the juice from the leaves, eventually causing the plant to dry up and die. When discovered, use anti-aphid to control it in time, which can effectively kill the pests.
