Causes and treatments for yellow pansy leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow pansy leaves

1. Improper fertilization

1. Reason: If the pansy lacks fertilizer, the soil in the pot will lack nutrients for a long time, which will easily cause yellow leaves; if too much fertilizer is applied, it will easily damage its root system, causing the leaves to turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: If it is caused by lack of fertilizer, you need to apply fertilizer to it, supplement the nutrients it needs, and take good care of it for a period of time. If it is caused by over-fertilization, you can replace the potting soil, or use water to wash away the excess fertilizer, place it in a ventilated place, and maintain it for a period of time.

2. Improper watering

1. Reason: Pansy likes a humid environment. If you water it too little, the soil in the pot will become dry, and the leaves of the plant will turn yellow due to lack of water. If you water it too much, water will accumulate in the soil, which will affect the breathing of the plant's roots and even cause its roots to rot, resulting in yellow leaves.

2. Treatment method: If the yellow leaves are caused by lack of water, you need to water it more to replenish the water it needs, keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, and restore the green leaves after a period of maintenance; if it is caused by too much watering, you need to stop watering, turn the soil more, place it in a ventilated place for maintenance for a period of time, and wait until it slowly restores its green leaves, then you can start watering normally.

3. Too much light

1. Reason: Pansy is a sun-loving plant, but long-term direct sunlight, especially in summer, can easily burn its leaves, causing dehydration and yellowing.

2. Treatment method: Move it to a cool and ventilated place immediately and give it appropriate light for maintenance for a period of time. During the summer, appropriate shade is required.
