How many years can hyacinth be cultivated in soil? What is the cultivation method of soil cultivation?

1. How many years can hyacinth be grown in soil?

Hyacinth is a perennial herbaceous bulbous plant. It can usually only be grown for one year in hydroponics, but it can last longer if grown in soil. As long as the maintenance method is appropriate and the maintenance environment is suitable, there may be no problem in keeping it for three to five years. However, you must pay attention to the storage of hyacinth bulbs. After flowering each year, cut off the stems outside the soil and store them in a cool place so that you can continue to plant them the following year.

2. What is the soil culture method?

Soil: The soil for growing hyacinths should be loose, fertile, well-drained sandy loam. It can be prepared by mixing garden soil, humus soil and fine sand.

Temperature: Hyacinth prefers a cool maintenance environment and cannot tolerate high temperatures. The temperature of its suitable growing environment is between eight and eighteen degrees Celsius. When cultivating in winter, the minimum temperature cannot be lower than zero degrees, otherwise the plants will be frozen.

Light: Hyacinth likes light and needs sufficient light to grow well. It must be ensured that it has at least four hours of light every day. But be careful not to expose it to strong light, especially in the summer, make sure to shade it. In other seasons when the sunlight is softer, it can receive sufficient light.

Watering: Hyacinth prefers a slightly moist soil environment, not too dry or too wet, so be sure to control the amount of watering. It is relatively drought-resistant. When watering, you can wait until the soil is dry before watering, and do not water it too much.
