How to grow baby's breath? Can I fertilize it during flowering?

1. Maintenance methods

1. Light: Baby's breath needs more light during its growth period, at least 6 hours of sunlight a day. It will only bloom when there is sufficient light. The longer it sees light, the earlier it will bloom. If there is no sunlight for a long time, you can use lights to supplement the light.

2. Watering: It is not drought-tolerant and prefers a humid growing environment. During its growth period, ensure that it has sufficient water and the soil remains moist. During the flowering period of the plant, the amount of watering should be controlled, otherwise the branches will grow very weak. It is afraid of waterlogging and cannot allow excess moisture to appear in the soil.

3. Temperature: The breeding temperature is also very important for its growth. Generally, the temperature can be controlled at 25-30℃ during the day, and the temperature should be 10-15℃ at night. When the temperature rises quickly in summer, it will go into hibernation. At this time, you need to cool it down appropriately and provide appropriate shading.

4. Fertilization: About half a month after the baby's breath seedlings are planted, you can apply nitrogen fertilizer to it, and then usually fertilize it every 10 days. During the moss stage, more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be applied, and less nitrogen fertilizer should be applied. Stop applying nitrogen fertilizer 45 days before it blooms.

2. Can fertilizer be applied during the flowering period?

You can apply fertilizer during the flowering period of baby's breath, but you need to control the fertilization and apply less low-concentration phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Remember, do not apply high concentrations of fertilizer to it, as this can easily burn the roots of the plant.
