How to grow white lily

How to grow white lily

1. Pot soil selection

The flowerpot does not need to be too large, as long as it matches the size of the plant. The culture soil used should be loose and breathable. It can be mixed with sand, garden soil, and leaf mold in a ratio of approximately 1:1:1. You also need to add well-rotted compost or a small amount of bone meal under the flowerpot. The pot needs to be changed in time after 1-2 years of cultivation.

2. Light supplement

It needs sunlight to ensure that the flowers bloom well. If it is shaded for a long time, it will cause problems with the opening of the flowers. You can place the white lily in a bright light, and you need to rotate the flower pot once a week to prevent the plant from growing too tall or growing to one side. The light in summer is relatively strong and needs to be blocked in time.

3. Water and fertilizer management

Just water it daily to keep it moist. You can water it more often during the growing season, but the soil in the pot should not be too wet. The requirements for fertilizer are not high. Fertilizer can be applied every 10-15 days during the growing period, and phosphorus fertilizer can be applied 1-2 days during the flowering period. Be careful not to apply too high a concentration.

4. Timely pruning

After flowering, the remaining flowers should be cut off in time to reduce the consumption of nutrients, avoid affecting the opening of flowers, and promote the fullness of the bulbs.

5. Pay attention to ventilation

Pay attention to good ventilation conditions on a daily basis and avoid being in a stuffy environment for a long time, and the possibility of diseases and insect pests occurring will be smaller.
