What diseases and pests does Campanula have and how to prevent and control them

1. Botrytis cinerea

Symptoms: This disease often occurs when the plant is grown outdoors. The branches and leaves of the campanula turn grayish white, seriously affecting its ornamental value. If not treated in time, it may cause growth problems.

Prevention and control: Take preventive measures in advance and be careful not to get wet in the rain, which can reduce the possibility of disease. If the disease accidentally occurs, you need to cut off the diseased branches and leaves in time, and then gather them together and destroy them. It also needs to be coordinated with the preparation of medicines, and fungicides can be sprayed, which has a better effect.

2. Aphids

Symptoms: Mainly cause damage to tender branches, buds and leaves. It pierces these parts and sucks the juice inside, causing the affected parts to shrink and deform. The secretions can also induce some diseases.

Prevention and control: Do a good job of ventilation beforehand to prevent the possibility of pests. Also pay attention to spraying pesticides. You can spray some Wanling, Supusha and other pesticides once a week, and spray 2-3 times in a row.

3. Thrips

Symptoms: Both adults and nymphs will parasitize on plants, sucking the young buds, flowers, young fruits, and tender leaves of the plants. The affected plants will grow very slowly, and in severe cases they may wither and die.

Prevention and treatment: When the disease first occurs, you can use 25% dermatophyte emulsion or 40% dimethoate 800-1000 times diluted once a week. It will be effective after 3-4 consecutive times.
